Congratulations to Young Masters artist Charles Moxon (shortlisted 2012 and 2014) who has been awarded an artist residency at Lux Art Institute, Encinitas, California. Moxon is the youngest artist to be offered the residency so far, and he plans to use his time in the USA to paint portraits of local performers.

Moxon will be in residence at the Institute from 14 November – 5 December 2015, with an exhibition running to 2 January 2016.

Lux Art Institute is redefining the museum experience to make art more accessible and personally meaningful. At Lux, you don’t just see finished works of art; you see the artistic process firsthand, observing internationally recognized artists in a working studio environment. As part of this mission, Lux works to support artists in the development of new projects through a residency program, and share their discoveries with scholars, art patrons and a regional and national audience.
