A number of our Young Masters Alumni have descended on Battersea Park, London, for the bi-annual Affordable Art Fair, Battersea. You can catch Young Masters at the fair until 6pm, Sunday 12th March.

The Cynthia Corbett Gallery’s curation features work by several Young Masters Art Prize Alumni, including: Elise Ansel, Elisabeth Caren, Andrew Deem, Gillian Hyland, Charlie Moxon, Jongjin Park, Fabiano Parisi, Matt Smith, and Jo Taylor.

A special congratulations goes to Gillian Hyland who has recently been awarded “First Place Winner” by International Photographer of the Year, 2017, for her series Havana Life.

Since being shortlisted for the Young Masters Art Prize in 2014, Hyland has gone on to exhibit internationally. She describes herself as an image maker and story teller. Her dramatic photographs are based on her own poems, and depict characters in human dramas and isolated emotional situations. Frozen in time, solitary and vulnerable moments are presented in glorious technicolour and timeless sets.

Gillian Hyland’s Copycat Dolls, 2013, currently stars in the Fair’s “Under £500 Wall”.

Artists are invited to apply now to Young Masters Art Prize in 2017. Applications open until 31 March 2017.
