Ghost of a Dream is the collaborative project of Lauren Was and Adam Eckstrom. Ghost of a Dream works with sculpture and installation to embody the essence of opulence, through construction of materials that end up in the trash. Ghost of a Dream has exhibited internationally including a solo project at VOLTA NY, 2010 presented by The Cynthia Corbett Gallery. In 2011 The Cynthia Corbett Gallery presented Ghost of a Dream as part of Bologna Art First, If One Winter’s Day a Traveller, curated by Julia Draganovic; where the artists installed a site specific work at Santa Maria della Saluta, Bologna. In Fall 2011, Ghost of a Dream took part in Art Prize 2011, Grand Rapids, MI, USA the world’s largest open art contest. Ghost of a Dream completed a residency at Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha, Nebraska January – March 2012 and have recently been selected for the prestigious Smack Mellon Artist Studio Program, New York which runs May 2012 – March 2013. The artist collaborative Ghost of a Dream were the joint winners of the inaugural Young Masters Art Prize, 2009.
