Simon Martin (b.1979) is an art historian and curator, and the Director of Pallant House Gallery in Chichester, one of the leading modern art museums in the UK. He received his BA from the University of Warwick and MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art. He has curated many exhibitions and written widely on Modern British and contemporary art, including catalogues and monographs on the artists Edward Burra, Gluck, Mark Hearld, John Minton, Eduardo Paolozzi, John Piper, Colin Self, Clare Woods, amongst others, and thematic books such as Conflict and Conscience: British Artists and the Spanish Civil War and The Mythic Method: Classicism in British Art 1920-1950.

A Trustee of the Charleston Trust, he also serves on the Fabric Advisory Committee of Chichester Cathedral; the Courtauld Association Committee; and the Advisory Board of Apollo Magazine. He was formerly a Trustee of House Biennial (2012-18); International Art Advisor to the Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, Japan and he served on the Special Collections, Library and Archive Committee of the University of Chichester (2010-18).
